This small campsite in the north of Italy offers all you need during your camping holiday: natural surroundings, relaxation, and activities for the whole family. You can camp in amongst the trees here, or with a panoramic view of Lake Maggiore. You can paddle around in this lake, or sunbathe on one of the free sun loungers. Finish the day with a freshly-baked pizza in a restaurant that the locals flock to as well.
Tidy camping pitches with a panoramic view
Once you arrive at the campsite, you'll be warmly welcomed by the campsite owners. They'll help you find the perfect pitch. You'll quickly see that the camping grounds are very well maintained: the washing block is clean, and the paths and the beach are swept every day. The camping grounds are divided up into cosy sheltered pitches, with plenty of shade. Some of the pitches offer a view over the beautiful Lake Maggiore and the mountainous surroundings.
Something for everyone to do
Thanks to the many activities organised by the baby club, Solcio Campsite is a very family-friendly campsite. But it's not just families that stay here: couples, both young and old, as well as groups of friends. A lively mix of guests.
Get to know the surroundings
There are plenty of opportunities to get to know the surroundings. You can visit the town of Stesa by bike, and visit the romantic islands with ancient palaces. You can also go for a cruise on the huge lake. Tip: take the panorama train on the way back to see a totally different side to the lake.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. Pluses: quite good restaurant inside; Small shop- yoy'll surely not get lack of beer or wine:) Clean and nice lake area; Clean and all time maintained toilet facilities. Minuses: nothing to see arround even having bycikles; Lot of moscitos- whole family was eaten completely. Pitches with no privacy- i personally hate when others having nothing to do- just observ each movement of yours. Good camping for pensioniers who want just to sit still and observe the others.
A lovely site in a fantastic area overlooking the lake complete with a beach area, sun loungers, beach volley ball and water sports. A supplement is charged for pitches on the lake edge in addition to the ACSI price but well worth the wonderful view from our 'van'. Perfectly placed for Arona and Stresa and the many opportunities to explore the lake via the Ferry or water taxi's. Isola Bella and Madre within easy reach. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful, restaurant service and food very good.
Camping Solcio is a little jewel. We arrived with the intention of staying a week and stayed for 3. The site is beautifully situated and the sanitary facilities are second to none, all new modern and spotlessly clean all the time. The staff and owner are so welcoming they make you feel at home. The restaurant was excellent and the pizzas are not to be missed. The security of the site is excellent, enough so that we left our caravan and travelled to Venice for two days in a hotel and the caravan was looked after all the time we were gone...we were welcomed by the owner on our return. The local towns are within easy reach and there is lots to do and see here. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay, we will be back.
Arrived at reception, not a very nice welcome, produced our ACSI discount & ID Card & lady at reception said she did not want them but wanted our passports which she kept. No advice was offered on how to get around the area, not a good welcome at all.
There is a busy train line close by which is easily from your pitch also loud Church bells every 1/2 hour .
It is a nice location with a clean beach on side of the lake .
We were given a restaurant menu when we arrived and prices looked reasonable, mixed grill for around 8 euros. Mistake we made: the menu was for daytime only, when we arrived for evening meal prices had doubled.
On leaving we went to pay and the same lady was there on our arrival and she wanted to charge us 21e per night instead of the 16e this was because she said we should have produced our ACSI cards on arrival ,a bit of an arrgument broke out and she finally agread she was wrong . A bit of a stich up I think so be aware ,won't visit this site again in a hurry .
