This place is a total rip-off. Expensive and the staff just want to take your money and can\'t even give you a smile. The pitch was very small and squashed between families who were spread out. I found all the information and services to be very minimal and unfriendly. They host bus loads of Contiki travellers, I saw some of them coming up to reception asking for information about the easiest way to get into Florence, and they were given the shortest replies possible and didn\'t even advise the guests which direction to walk to town or that you could purchase bus tickets at reception or point out the bus schedule on the counter. It was more expensive than advertised and definitely overpriced. Toilets far away and up and down steep slopes.
Good site for access to Florence and Pisa sited on a hill the walk from the campsite to the swimming pool was a challenge the bar and restaurant provided good food and drink. We were told by the office staff it can get noisy some times as they have bus loads of 18-35 year old on tour, they stay in the static cabins but in truth we never heard them. The toilets and showers were dated and well used. The water point was at the toilet block so it was a good walk to get water and return was up hill but if we were in the area again I would use the site for a few nights.
Easy campsite to visit Florence. We experienced very wet weather and there were not many sites dry enough to take motor home. We had to be towed out on our departure because of the ground conditions. Staff were helpful, sufficient supermarket & restaurant which seemed to cater for Contiki tours. Be prepared for a steep walk from bottom to campsite. Good access to Florence.
We stayed here in early September 2012 and found the site to be well below the normal standards, especially as it is in the higher price range. The facilities need attention, the pitches whilst being on a slope are very uneven, the pool was closed (no discount on price was available), the Internet connection (Hotspot only) was poor and the traffic noise from the motorway was quite loud/disturbing.
Stayed here in May 2011. Book in at reception and then the pitches are at the top of a hill, but there was a space at the top to enable us to park and look for a pitch. Pitches are on terraces, some would have been difficult to get on if site had been very busy. But plenty of choice when we were there. Some with shade. Toilet facilities good, with adjustable temperature showers and plenty of hot water.
Local bus into Florence just up the road. Good location for driving out to San Giimignano, etc
This was one of four campsites we stayed at in Tuscany this year. We were ver disappointed and couldn\'t wait to leave. We were given very vague directions to our pitch and had to just camp where we could. The staff were not rude but not friendly either. The shop was pure robbery - we couldn\'t even buy our toddlers a lollypop as they cost a euro each. The pool was too deep with no child part and there was a feeling of uneasy with endless coaches driving around. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights.
Handy bus service into Florence centre. Not much choice in shop. Camping pitches not clearly marked out. Reasonably priced hi fi available.
Well located campsite. Excellent toilet facilities. Campsite has 2 kitchens for general public usage but hardly anyone knows about them. Better information required.
