Surrounded by the green hills of Umbria lies Camping Village Punta Navaccia, located directly on the shore of Lago Trasimeno, or the Trasimenian lake. The area is ideal for making lots of day trips. Obviously, you can visit the villages around the lake, but you can also travel further inland into Tuscany. Visit for example Siena and Perugia. But Asissi (the famous pilgrimage site), Spoleto (home to the annual summer music and opera festival Festival dei Due Mondi) and Montefalco are also worth a visit while staying at this campsite.

Lodge tents with a view of the lake

Village Punta Navaccia is a fairly large campsite with level and shady camping pitches. Most of these are located near the lake. The sanitary facilities are of satisfactory quality. Apart from the camping pitches, there are several types of mobile homes: ‘standard’, ‘superior’ and ‘deluxe’. One of the mobile homes is equipped for disabled camping guests. In addition, there are safari lodge tents and Coco lodge tents with a view of the lake.

Dive into the swimming pool or the lake

There are two outdoor swimming pools, one of which is an shallower toddler pool. Pool parties are held regularly. The pools are in a nicely sheltered spot between the trees. Around them are loungers and sun umbrellas. The campsite borders the lake. There is a sandy beach, but there are also sun umbrellas and loungers which are freely available. There are also floating platforms in the lake. The lake is excellent for waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.

The campsite organises daily boat trips (free) around Maggiore Island. The boat stops between the two islands in front of the castle so that you can take a swim. Once or twice a week, you can contest in a Dragon Boat race around the island and back. Entering the race is free.

Entertainment: performances in an amphitheatre

There are many sport facilities on the campsite. You can play tennis, basket ball, beach volleyball, table tennis, go swimming, do fitness training or play mini football. In peak season there is entertainment for both children and adults. The little ones can join the miniclub or the baby dancing. Later in the evening, the youngsters can join the disco. There is also a large, covered amphitheatre where the entertainment team organises evening performances such as musicals and other shows.

Liked - Ligging, prachtig aan het meer. En de omgeving is prachtig

Liked - Een heerlijke vakantie gehad in een mooie omgeving. Fijn ontvangst Heel leuk (ook Nederlands sprekend) animatie team waar onze jonge kinderen veel gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Lekker zwembad (badmuts verplicht, dat blijft jammer). Leuk barretje
Disliked - De camping is rommelig en verouderd. De (vele) vaste staanplaatsen waren niet om aan te zien (wat ook stiekem ook wel z'n charmes heeft). Het meer vonden wij vies. Met het brood, wat we 's ochtends in het winkeltje kon halen, kon je een raam mee inslaan. Niet te eten. Jammer dat het Nederlandse team van het animatieteam het niet naar het zin had. Één vertrok al na een week . Gelukkig werd hij vervangen door een andere Nederlander, maar ook hij had het niet naar z'n zin. Dat is wel jammer om te horen.

Liked - Prima uitvalsbasis; dagje Sienna / Assisi / bagni de Filippo / Monepulciano/ Pienza etc. Mooie ligging aan het meer, waar je in kan zwemmen etc. Mooie, schone zwembaden. Bijna altijd ligstoelen genoeg. Leuke animatie, ook Nederlands. Zoon heeft veel gevoetbald. Iedere avond mini disco.
Disliked - S Avonds met name in het weekend harde muziek van de disco naast de camping, 1 tot 2x per week tot een uur of 3. Als je rust zoekt is deze camping niet de beste keus ;)
Deels wat gedateerde camping, maar alles werkt, is veilig & hartstikke schoon.
De bedden in de mobile home waren plankhard.
In het zwembad mag je alleen opblaas ballen gebruiken / hebben.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Liked - Mooi gelegen aan het Trasimenomeer. Er wordt veel georganiseerd voor de kinderen en jeugd. De jongeren gaan 's avonds naar de bar naast de camping. Lekker veilig want verder kunnen ze nergens heen. Binnen een uur ben je in Assisi, Perugia, Florence, Sirena en Cortona. Wij hebben ook 2 dagen in Rome doorgebracht.

Camping is wat verouderd maar daar geen last van gehad.

Liked - De locatie van onze safari Lodge tent was heel goed, schoon zwembad en fijne jacuzzi!
Zeer prettige mensen bij de receptie, er is veel mogelijk en de mensen zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam!
Disliked - Jammer dat de waterstand van het meer zo laag is. Het begin van de camping (waar de locals verblijven) is een beetje een armoedig stukje. Jammer dat er niet een goede camping winkel aanwezig is. Heel veel muggen :-(

Liked - Prima verblijf, heel mooie plek aan het meer. Voldoende facililteiten.
Disliked - Gedateerde sanitair gebouwen, op zich wel schoon. Eerste deel van de camping zijn vaste plekken van Italianen, niks mis mee maar geeft de camping een wat rommelige, bepalende en niet open sfeer. Waterpunten voor drinkwater voldoende aanwezig maar waterdruk erg laag. Jammer dat het meer erg laag stond waardoor bepaalde activiteiten niet door konden gaan.

Liked - Vriendelijke medewerkers, leuke bar met betaalbare cappuccino en "Corneto's". Ook fijn dat er een restaurant naast de camping zit.
Disliked - Wij verbleven op de camping in een warme periode met veel ongedierte (er werd wel gespoten) Het waterpeil was laag, waardoor je bij het zwemmen in het meer in de blubber stond. Er waren veel vaste jaarplaatsen waardoor het rommelig en verouderd oogde.

Liked - Leuke omgeving en vriendelijke personeel
Disliked - Tijdens twee avonden was er een thema-avond voor externen in het restaurant waarbij de campinggasten hinder ondervonden door de muziek tot vroeg in de ochtend.
