Camping Rialto, a small town camp site, is situated in a tranquil, green environment on the outskirts of Venice. It is the ideal basis for a visit to this town, the bus will take you to the Canal Grande in 15 minutes. The bus stop is directly in front of the camping and the buses run very frequently. Tickets are available from the reception, where you will be welcomed by the friendly owner or one of the employees.
Camping or glamping?
The camping has demarcated spots, with adequate space for a few nights. Many pitches are shaded due to the green surroundings. The sanitary facilities have recently been renovated and are basic but clean. Didn't bring a tent? No problem, because we have rental accommodation. You can spend the night in a fully equipped tent for two persons or you can book glamping accommodation in a bungalow tent. There are also (mini)chalets for rent.
Young and international
Most camping guests spend a couple of nights here as a base for visiting Venice. Your neighbours are young and come from various parts of the world; your one neighbour may hail from as far as China and the other neighbour from Peru.
Unique boat excursion
The camping offers private excursions, cruising the Venetian Lagoon. This fantastic trip includes a visit to the idyllic islands of Torcello and Burano. The final destination is the magnificent Punta Sabbioni beach, where you can spend the entire afternoon. For those who prefer to explore the other islands, there is a further boat trip.

Campeggio carino, abbastanza pulito. Economico e di fronte alla fermata dell'autobus che porta in 10 min. a Venezia.
Carina anche la sala giochi anche se per i bimbi avrei preferito avere scivoli e altalene
Site was waterlogged due to the weather the showers were luke warm and toilets and showers were not clean the washing up area is covered in fluff from the dryers. I am in a caravan and had to pay for water no general water taps around site the reception staff were lovely and spoke great english the only bonus was the bus stop to venice outside 3 euro return however the acsi inspectors are not inspecting venice this site does not warrent the price. We did not have children or eat in the restaurant so cant pass comment you will have to decide just you have to comment on all 5 to leave a review
What could be a very nice campsite was spoilt by inadequate toilet facilities that just could not cope with the pre pitched tents and cabin accommodation. The constant queues at the reception could have been avoided with better management and customer service.
The only thing that's good at this campsite is the close by bus station taking you to Venice in 10 min. Otherwise it's is totally crowded by youth especially and the toilets are dirty and the nights are noisy.
Very handy site for visiting Venice. The no 19 outside the gate takes you direct to Venice bus station where you can change to Vaporetto. No 5 to come back (via Orlando 4/12 just past Lidl). Lidl supermarket just outside of gates plus small camp shop. Very much a backpacker site with lots of students hiring the small 2 berth tents & mini chalets. The ACSI pitches are level, mostly grass or hard earth but quite small. Some pitches are quite a long way from the electricity points. There were a lot of bins around but not water taps. People seemed to collect it from the washing up sinks. The sanitary block was ok but not the cleanest, no paper or soap & it was very busy with the student population there, especially in the mornings. The shop also served as a pizzeria & bar. It was very busy most evenings & the pizzas were good value.WIFI could only be picked up in the bar area. A lot of the students seemed to buy food from Lidl then use the tables to picnic & check the internet. Reception was quite helpful & you could buy bus tickets there.
Very nice capisite. If you want to visit Venice this is definitely the capmsite you want to stay in. There is a bus stop just across the steet of site where you can get a bus to venice. It is about 10min ride. Staff will sell you bus tickects on reception. They are very friedly and helpfull. No problem with English and when we were there girl at the reception had fluent French. Toilets and bathrooms are big enough and clean. Food is nice and you can buy some bacic food and stuff over there. In case you you did not find what you were looking for in local shop no problem as there is Lidl across the street. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.
The bus service was good for Venice as bus stop was outside the camp and the buses were frequent. The camp reception sold bus tickets.
There were lots of young people.
The pitches had good grass which I prefer. There was a Lidl supermarket very closeby.
Unfortunately the ablutions needed to be cleaned more often.
We had a pitch at the furtherest end which meant a longer walk to the ablution block but I prefer a quieter spot.
There were mosquitos but every camp had those.
You can stay within a short bus ride of Venice! Staff are very helpful and bus tickets can be bought with useful information on times etc. The bar area has Wi-Fi (reasonable cost) but at nights, when everyone is using it it becomes pretty well useless. Toilet blocks fine but we found showers a bit cool if you go at peak time. Excellent ALDI just outside for the many backpackers who also use this site in tents and cabins. Overall a very useful site which we would recommend.
Ideal for visit to Venice, staff very helpful with tickets. Only site we've ever had to pay to take on water.
We stayed here as we toured Italy. We bought a 3 day pass for public transport from the tourist off in Venice by the bus station. This saved us a lot of money because we could use the boat bus and land bus at any time. This site is ideally placed for visiting Venice.
