The family campsite De Kienehoef is located in the Bailiwick of Brabant. This lush environment boasts a natural setting and the ambience of the Brabant region. You can dive into the local history here or indulge in the delicious regional dishes at one of the many outdoor cafes. The campsite has no shortage of fun things to do. On the partially car-free camping fields, there are different kinds of playground equipment for the children. The campsite also boasts an open-air swimming pool, its own recreational pond, various sports fields and an activities team.

Car-free camping fields

Most of the touring pitches at De Kienehoef are located at the back on the partially car-free camping fields. These fields are beautifully arranged, each with playground equipment as the centrepiece of the field. There are also comfort fields. The camping fields at the back of the site have an additional sanitary facility.

Swimming pool and recreational pond

There is plenty to do for any guest at the campsite De Kienehoef. As soon as you check-in, you can head straight to the terrace of De Taveerne and enjoy a drink, ice cream or a snack from the small menu. It's also a great spot to keep an eye on the kids while they play in the open-air pool or children's pool, which are located just a bit farther along. If that's not enough aquatic fun for you, there is a recreational pond at the back of the campsite. 

Daily necessities

You can pick up some fresh rolls on the campsite every morning. You can buy all the other little things you need in Sint-Oedenrode, which is located one kilometre from the campsite. It has several supermarkets.

Liked - Leuke recreatieplas. Het sanitair was prachtig en heel dichtbij. Mooie ruime plekken. Ik heb overgeboekt ivm het weer en dat was geen enkel probleem. Super service
Disliked - Het was jammer dat er weinig schaduw was op de plekken.

Liked - De kinderen kunnen zich prima vermaken in het meer, zwembad, voetbalveld of andere speelveldjes. Zelf hadden we ruime plekken, waardoor we heerlijk konden genieten van het vakantie gevoel.
Disliked - Het sanitair was veelal vies en er werd zelden schoongemaakt (max 2x per dag in het hoogseizoen). Uiteraard had dit ook te maken met de campinggasten zelf die er een bende van maakten. Wanneer er werd schoongemaakt werd een heel blok afgesloten en was het daardoor in coronatijd vaak druk en moest men veel mensen passeren.

Liked - Gezellige familiecamping
Disliked - Erg stoffig vanwege het bos. Sanitair was niet altijd even schoon. Moment van schoonmaken was erg onhandig.

Liked - Lekker en schoon zwembad. Leuke speeltuin aan de overkant.
Disliked - Sanitair was vaak niet schoon. En de toilet brillen erg onhandig. Onze kinderen zaten vaak op de pot zelf ipv de toiletbril omdat ze door de opening voorin de bril niet normaal konden zitten.
Vooral de jongste moest wijdbeens gaan zitten dan... En tja... meisjes plassen dan soms over de rand.... op hun kleren of ondergoed.

Liked - Fijn dat er zwembad en meertje was. Meertje is prima te overzien, schoon en ook het strand was ruim.
Disliked - Helaas zijn de paden voorzien van zwart zand dat maakt dat je altijd zwarte voeten hebt(ook na t douchen)

Liked - Het zwembad & de recreatieplas waren top. Het personeel bij de receptie en de taveerne was heel erg vriendelijk. De foodtrucks waren top, net als de braderie! Onze comfortplek was super met gezellig (seizoens)gasten.
Disliked - Het sanitair was echter niet zo fraai. Oud en aftands. Weinig onderhoud in de jaren gehad. Er word echt te weinig schoongemaakt (2 x per dag) op onhandige tijden (12:00 & 20:00) met oog op Corona en het feit dat de helft vd faciliteiten open is. En de schoonmaakster was niet erg aardig en sprak erg slecht Nederlands. Vaak vieze douches met verstopte doucheputjes en defecte trekkers; onvoldoende toiletpapier; geen 'lager' toilet voor kinderen waardoor het af en toe echt smerig was. De desinfect, die overal hangt i.p.v. zeeppompjes bij de wasbakken, ruikt naar goedkope mannen aftershave.
