Nice site, walking distance to Evora (30mins level). Supermarket nearby. Friendly, helpful staff. Most pitches are reasonably level and marked by low hedging. You might need a long lead for electric hook up on some pitches. Fresh bread available to order each morning. Sanitation is good, but showers are adequate rather than good. Nice pool and good Wifi hotpot. No barking dogs nearby which is welcome given it seems to be the norm on most Portuguese sites. Watch out for the Mulberry trees on some pitches the fallen berries stick to everything and stains are hard/impossible to remove. I’d be very happy to stay here again - recommended.
Nice big pitches. Lovely swimming pool and grass area around. Two toilet blocks, one was very clean, but the other not very good. Supermarket and vet within walking distance. Bus stop outside campsite into Evora, which is worth a visit. Very good cheap taxi service available at reception. Would recommend.
Good location for visiting Evora, Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet campsite. Great pool.
expensive for little or no thought to the customer. Toilets and showers are disgusting, tiles cracked and smelly. We have been here for the last 3 years and this year is the first year that we have had almost any pitch we want. Maybe price does not reflect value, never again.
The pitches are a reasonable size, there are enough electric points, the toilet block is clean and all the staff we have encountered have been friendly and helpful. 25 minutes walk into interesting town with good restaurants - what's not to like?
Unfortunately nothing very complimentary to say about this site. The toilets and showers are so old and dirty, the pitches are narrow, sandy with weeds a metre high and so closely packed into each other's space. The electrical connection points are few, meaning leads all over the roads and through each other's pitch. Our particular board had 16 leads emanating from it and less than the nominated 6 Amps. The walk or ride into the old town is good, although the designated bike path disappears frequently! After this experience and speaking with other campers, never again would we contemplate an 'Orbituir' site. They quite simply take your money..overpriced..and the site was buy far the worst whilst we have been touring in Portugal. Would not recommend, nor would we return.
Conveniently located for exploring Evora, and also for local supermarket and vet to get the tapeworm treatment! Staff very helpful. However, most expensive site of our trip with more basic facilities. Good supply of hot water in the showers, but not for washing up! Ok for a couple of days.
Conveniently located a couple of kilometres out of town, the site is easy to find on a main road. This was our first Obritur site so not sure what to expect but in looking for a pitch we found many unsuitable due to the lack of electricity stations, many requiring extension cables to be trailed across other pitches or the road. Also many areas were very rutted from previous wet weather leaving them very uneven, and several trees would have benefitted from a good pruning to enable vans to park under them. It was a nice quiet site though if you were away from the road.
Washblocks were adequate, with small adequate showers and toilets with seats, but the outside areas around were unkempt with weeds etc. There is a nice pool and grassy seating area but only four very large umbrellas provided (still only providing shade for two people) and about sixteen loungers. In 36 degree heat in early June we were all looking for shade so this was definitely insufficient. Chairs/loungers were not allowed to be moved for allocated areas so we ended up bring our own chairs to shelter under the couple of trees. Word of warning : A towel on the grass ended up smothered in sharp prickly things and needles which took days to pick out!
Evora has plenty of rough, free parking at various areas around the city and tourist info was in the main square. The main attractions are, as usual up the top of the hill, and a visit to the university was interesting and if you can find 'Pateo' it's a lovely quiet courtyard of an old palace for a quiet drink and tapas or a snack. Plenty of supermarkets not far from the camp site. Ok for a couple of night to see Evora.
Great stopover on way to Algarve. Nice welcome, big pitch, a little traffic noise. Walking distance to world heritage ancient city. Toilet facilities clean and serviceable but unheated so chilly in winter .
The campsite was very poor, the toilets and showers were very dirty and many didn't work properly. Would not return
