Camping with a view. That is what you can expect when you stay on campsite Alpenfreude, situated near the village of Sankt Georgen. You can admire the magnificent mountain peaks from every conceivable angle. Enjoy fine food, visit attractive mountain villages and go for a ride over the Alpine roads when you spend your vacation here. Let the holiday begin!

Down the slide

The municipal swimming pool is located next to the campsite. The swimming pool is surrounded by trees and mountains. Whichever way you look, you always have a feeling of being amidst nature. Another great feature is that the swimming pool is heated, so you can still enjoy a swim later on in the season or in spring. Not to mention the large water slide, of course! Around the swimming pool there is a spacious lawn to spread your towel.

Entertainment for the whole family

Bored? No such thing on campsite Alpenfreude! Children can enjoy themselves in one of the playgrounds or kick a ball around on the multi-sports field. There is no entertainment programme.

Ready for a physical challenge? The mountains beckon you to go on a hike. The KärntenCard is also available for purchase at reception. This card entitles you to discounts or free admission to many attractions and mountain railways.

Campsite restaurant with terrace

Fine food is inextricably linked to a great holiday. The campsite restaurant certainly takes this into account. The restaurant has an extensive menu with regional specialities. And don't forget to enjoy the splendid view of the surrounding mountains from the terrace.

Eine bodenlose Frechheit. Terrasse in der Hochsaison nur ab donnerstag nachmittag geöffnet. Einheimische werden vertrieben, wollen nichts verdienen!!!!

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Erg mooi gelegen camping met prachtig uitzicht.
Naast de camping ligt een prachtig gemeentelijk zwembad, deze is in 2021 gerenoveerd.
In 2019 waren wij ook op deze camping. Deze stond toen al een tijd te koop en toen was al duidelijk dat de camping in verval was. De huidige eigenaar heeft de camping in het voorjaar van 2020 overgenomen. In de tussentijd is een deel van het achterstallig onderhoud opgelost, maar er is ook nog veel te doen. Wij stonden op camping deel 2, een aanrader voor gasten die meer rust, ruimte en schaduw zoeken tov deel 1. Dit deel 2 was maar voor een kwart geopend. Dit was vanwege tekort aan personeel (schoonhouden) en de staat van het sanitair. De nieuwe eigenaar is van plan om het sanitair, er zijn 2 gebouwen waarvan er maar 1 geopend was, verregaand te renoveren. Dat lijkt ons wel een absolute noodzaak gezien de staat van het sanitair.
Op de camping kan je erg lekker eten. De wifi kan beter, is voor ons geen strikte noodzaak, maar is wel handig voor uitvoeren van updates en back-ups.
Voor jongeren wordt niet veel georganiseerd, maar het zwembad vergoed veel.
We zijn van plan om over een paar jaar hier weer terug te komen. Hopelijk is het sanitair dan beter in orde.

Travelling party: Seniors

Prima camping, bij aankomst vroegen wij om een open plaats i.v.m. sateliet t.v. konden kiezen. Eigenaren vriendelijk, Na noodweer volgende ochtend kwam de eigenaresse vragen of wij nog schade hadden, helaas was er van onze partytent niet veel meer over, nadat wij even op visite waren geweest met vertrek mooi weer. Mooie grote vlakke plaatsen vriendelijk eigenaren.
Het zwembad langer opengebleven i.v.m. mooi weer. Sanitair zeer schoon.
Na noodweer was het water snel weg. Goed gedraineerd. 16amp. Stroom ook wel erg fijn. Kunnen niet oordelen over het hoogseizoen. Maar komen zeker terug.
