On the outskirts of the city of Salzburg lies Nord-Sam, a well-maintained and cheerful four-star camping site with lots of green, a beautiful swimming pool and a good connection (bike path and bus stop) to Salzburg. Nord-Sam is a truly wonderful base for visiting this classic, atmospheric city. Salzburg is full of history, if for no other reason than it is where Mozart was born and gave his concerts. The Salzburg-Salzkammergut region is ideal for relaxing cycling and hiking tours.
Four-star camping site
The reception building is built in a traditional style with different floors. Downstairs you will find the sanitary facilities and the kitchen, on the first floor is the restaurant with terrace, the reception and the shop. Everything here is clean and well organised. Due to its favourable location vis-à-vis Salzburg, Nord-Sam is not the cheapest camping site in the country. But speaking of this nearby tourist attraction: the camping site offers excursions to Salzburg.
Sun and shade
The pitches on this little campground are small but well maintained. They have good grass surfaces and are demarcated by carefully pruned bushes. In the months before and after the July-August period, you camp with a bit more space and have more privacy. There are a lot of trees, so many pitches are wonderfully shaded. The sanitary facilities at Camping Nord-Sam are clean and stylish.
Pleasant swimming pool
The swimming pool (limited hours: from 9-12 and from 14-19:00) is heated and well maintained. Around the pool you will find some loungers and sun umbrellas. The whole area is surrounded by walls, beautifully tiled with blue and white mosaics. Three hundred metres from the camping site you will find a large supermarket, a butcher and a pizzeria.

We were camping out during September 2014
We thought we get a nice, quality place - a little disappointed the situation of children's playground
Total conditions showers were good and services, but we are more sites and we paid less.
General impression - fine for one night lodging
The option to get to Salzburg via bus comes to camping - very good
I am very sad. This place looks great - but the places are very small. We came late but there was room. High season: but playground (small) for kids was locked after 20.00. Poolerea closed 19.00. No payment with credit cards. Cash is king...
We have been on many places around in Europe- but the costs for 1 night was 3 x higher than the most expensive I have seen. Can’t recommend it at all.. Sorry
Sanitaires propres.
Ok leirintäalue kohtuu lähellä Salzburgin keskustaa. Kävelymatkan päässä ei mitään ihmeellistä nähtävää. Kannattaa käydä kotkanpesällä.
Pienet asuntoauto/vaunu paikat, ei mahdu kunnolla markiisia avaamaan.
I don’t really get the review from „just a camper“!
The bus stops directly in front of the camping site and goes every 15 minutes. You do have to transfer at the train station but the journey doesn’t take more than 20 minutes and the buses run until 11pm.
The sanitary installations have been totally refurbished and are very good quality and were always clean. There is only one sanitary area but it is large enough for the camping site.
There are definitely cheaper camping sites but I guess it’s to be expected in Salzburg that prices are a little higher.
The coffee in the cafeteria was really very good, typically Austrian and at €2,50 was good value.
There is also enough lighting on the camping site at night. I don’t know why the other camper was so irritated but his review doesn’t seem to match the reality!
All in all, I had a very pleasant stay at Camping Sam und would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Salzburg. I look forward to coming back soon!
Kompakti alue loistavalla sijainnilla mistä hyvät bussiyhteydet keskustaan.
Saniteettitilat hyvät ja allas on hyvä bonus.
Henkilökunta ystävällinen ja tehokas.
Leiripaikat ahtaat ja osin pimeät kasvillisuudesta johtuen. Lasten leikkipaikka vaatimaton.
Hyvä valinta Salzburgiin tutustumista varten.
Super Nasszellen, sehr sauber,
Schwimmbad direkt am Campinggelände - hervorragend.
Kinderspielplatz neu angelegt, Fahrradverleih.
Wir waren mehr als zufrieden und werden wieder kommen.
