Campsite Ferienparadies Natterer See *****

General information
Guide price €42.10

Close to the city of Innsbrück, still in the tranquillity of the countryside, lies this beautiful camping site with the most modern amenities. Ergo.. a cinema as well as a fun 'children's washland' with TV screens. Driving through small mountain villages you will reach Ferienparadies Natterer See with its breathtaking view of the private lake and the majestic Alps. When you enter the grounds, you will see a spacious, neatly laid out camping site.

The camping pitches here vary between 55 and 155 m, offering you a choice between a cosy pitch or all the room you need for you and your family. You can also opt for a spot by the lake. Furthermore, you can spend the night in a mobile home, apartment or a so-called 'sleeping barrel'. Glamping is yet another possibility.

In and around the camping site

At Ferienparadies Natterer See you will mainly see families with young children or teenagers during your camping holiday. They can enjoy themselves for days on end on and around the camping site's lake. There is a wide variety of play equipment on the lake. You can also rent a boat or do a bit of canoeing.

Sanitary facilities

The modern sanitary building offers everything you need. There are family bathrooms that provide the necessary privacy, but there is also a special 'children's washland' with TV screens where the little ones will enjoy brushing their teeth.

Innsbrück

Innsbrück, capital of the Alps, is easy to reach with the free shuttle-bus, which leaves from the camping site. You will find the glorious, old Austrian inner city here as well as a castle from the fifteenth century.

Relatively large and busy campsite a short drive from Innsbruck. Pitches nice and flat but note that the road up to the southern section are very steep. The sanitary block in the southern section is fairly dated, though its very clean and the showers are powerful and hot.

The free bus into Innsbruck is great touch and the bar on site is reasonably priced. Didn\'t get the chance to swim in the lake, but it looked great fun.

Stayed here for 4 nights. This site is excellent I cannot recommend it enough. The toilet facilities are second to none. There is a lakeside restaurant and bar and the food is really good and reasonably priced, the restaurant also has a take away area. Regular bus service to Innsbruck, tickets can be purchased from the site reception. Dogs can travel on the bus but must be muzzled.

We stayed here in June and after a bit of haggling got a pitch looking directly at the mountain range to the rear of the shower block. No complaints re the pitch, in terms of size or level. However the original one we were allocated nearer the lake wasn’t anything special, too cramped, as most pitches lakeside appeared to be.
Finding it en route from Lake Garda was simple but the queue at reception was (as it was most days) long and continued through most of the day. It is a very busy camp, but reception staff were welcoming and helpful throughout.
The two lakes, one for swimming with a variety of inflatables, canoes and a slide, looked murky and unwelcoming. No thanks !!
The lakeside restaurant looks very nice but the food is no better than OK and is expensive, restaurants in Innsbruck were cheaper and better value. I also thought that some staff using their segways went far too fast regardless of the age of people using the walkways. They are an accident waiting to happen !
The toilet and shower block is simply superb, we’ve never quite seen anything like it. However the showers are on the first floor accessed by a reasonably steep slope. This might prove challenging to some. Wifi was expensive so didn’t bother.
There are footpaths direct from site into Innsbruck and to local villages. Innsbruck is a ten minute drive, parking there was easy and its worth the visit. Local supermarkets at Gotzen, a 5 minute drive, were not expensive. Diesel was the cheapest we found whilst doing our 6 week trek.
All in all we were a bit disappointed, it didn’t seem to match up to the pre visit reviews we read. They could do with using the views they have much better, far too many trees blocked what would other wise have been fantastic mountain views.

The facilities are very good but an awful long way away for many pitches, disabled shower up quite a steep slope, didn\'t think much of the comfort pitch we paid extra for, small and very distant from facilities.

Great campsite for accessing Innsbruck, with good restaurant and free bus into Innsbruck. Pitches are well equipped and most are reasonably flat. We were on the Panorama side of tge camp with great views across to the mountains and sun shining in the afternoon and evening. On site shop was pretty average with snack food and drink rather than real provisions.

Wow! What a simply amazing site. Not easy to get to but when you do it is worth the effort. Easy access to the site entrance and the pitches were very easy to get on and off. Arrived and were greeted by friendly staff and allowed to choose our pitch. We went for a better, fully serviced pitch and paid a couple of euros a night more, but well worth it for the uninterrupted views of the mountains surrounding the site. Electrics were reliable and didn’t switch off as soon as you plugged the kettle in!

The facilities are simply amazing, if only all sites were as good as this, I would sell my house and travel for the rest of my life. Toilets and shower the best I have ever used. The shop was quite good and the Bread freshly delivered (remember to order the night before). The free bus pass was excellent and got us into the centre of Innsbruck quickly and efficiently. Frequent service meant we weren’t hanging around waiting for the return.

I would definitely return to this site.

Superb site. Everything you could wish for and more. We visited in October, so a lot of the sports and eating facilities were closed, but the shop had plenty of supplies for a meal and we are not sporty!. Free bus to Innsbruck, which is fantastic. Beautiful surroundings and great walks for the dogs. The only slight criticism is the occasional gap in the hot water supply.

Stayed out of season in mid September. The campsite was near capacity. Has all the bells and whistles. On the Tuesday night the restaurant and pizza were closed only the bistro open. Stayed just the one night and no problems getting our camper van into the site. Free bus into Innsbrook a bonus just be present and check the bus timetable for return trip. Facilities clean and plentiful. for its size a quite spot.
