Vienna is one of Europe's most beautiful cities with its monumental buildings, chic city centre and, of course, its many operas. MICAMPA Wien Wienerwald is an ideal base to discover the beautiful Austrian capital. Renovated in 2024, this city campsite is located in the quiet district of Penzing, in the west of the city. It is also a good starting point for hiking and mountain biking in the vast, forested mountains west of Vienna.

What is the layout of this campsite?

Behind the barrier and reception, you'll find a well-organised camping area, where all pitches are located along an oval-shaped road. In the middle of the site, there are two large tent camping fields. Especially for holidaymakers sleeping in tents, there is a charging station for smartphones. Prefer a bit more luxury and your own toilet and shower facilities? By 2024, modern tiny houses were installed.

Dine in the cosy café-restaurant

When you get back to the campsite after a long day of city walks, you might not feel like cooking. Fortunately, the campsite has its own café-restaurant with a cosy terrace. Conveniently, there is also a shop for your basic necessities at reception. For relaxation, this campsite has a meeting room, a playground and a mini library.

Enjoy Vienna's architectural beauty

Most campers stay at this campsite for one or two nights before visiting Vienna's historic city centre. Conveniently, you can leave your car on the campsite. Take the bus to Hütteldorf and travel on by metro, and you'll be at Karlsplatz in half an hour.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Dirty, toilets, no children facilities at all.
The only good thing it’s the SPAR and public transportation really close to it.
