Camping Moulin de Chaules is a pleasant campsite situated in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Auvergne. Christelle, half of the friendly couple that owns the campsite, runs the restaurant and makes delicious homemade pizzas. Building dams in the river, taking part in the activities and sitting around the campfire together: get ready for a varied holiday!

Cosy and small-scale campsite

The small-scale and friendly campsite breathes tranquillity. Behind the flat area are terraces, which accommodate a total of around forty touring pitches and eleven rental accommodations. The pitches on the terraces are naturally laid out and have no clear demarcation. The pitches on the flat terrain, on the other hand, are delimited by hedges. Some pitches are idyllically situated by the river.

For small campers

Camping Moulin de Chaules focuses specifically on families with smaller children. With a swimming pool, nicely sheltered between the main building and the owners' house, a playground and various activities, small campers will have the holiday of a lifetime here.

In high season, something is organised every day of the week: baking bread together (and eating it by the campfire), treasure hunts and games. Young and old can join all activities, but the focus is on children.

Queen of the kitchen: Christelle

The old stone main building houses a cosy restaurant, where owner Christelle herself stands behind the stove and conjures up the tastiest pizzas from the oven. Here, too, the youngest guests are taken into account. In addition to various pizzas, fries with a snack are also on the menu. You can also take a seat at one of the bistro style tables on the shady pavement café.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Nous avons aimé la tente safari au calme en bout de terrasse. L’endroit est très arboré et apporte donc de la tranquillité à chacun. La tente est très bien équipée et agencée. Christelle et Christophe sont des personnes sympathiques et abordables.
Disliked - Les nuits peuvent fraîches en juin et il faut donc penser à prévoir des tenues chaudes.

Liked - Le site est magnifique, la tente safari lodge xxl pour 5 dont 3 enfants est spacieuse, confortable et très bien équipée. La piscine est également très agréable. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et accueillant et le lieu est calme. Bref parfait pour un séjour en famille.

Liked - Om te kamperen, perfect, prima gastheer en vrouw, lekker zwembad, en heel net en schoon sanitair. Zeer zeker een aarader.
Disliked - Enige minpuntje, op de camping zelf, alleen door de vele bomen, alleen maar schaduw perfect bij mooi weer, maar wij hadden pech, heel veel regen en bewolking, waardoor het heel somber word. ( kan natuurlijk niemand iets aan doen, maar was uiteindelijk voor ons de reden om verder te gaan. Maar bij normaal “Frans” weer, een 9

Liked - Na een enthousiaste ontvangst konden we zelf een plaats uitzoeken op get benedenterrein aan de heerlijke beek, zo'n en schaduw. Het is een terrassencamping maar de terrassen worden vooral ingenomen door een variëteit aan verhuurtenten, -chalets en een futuristische Dôme. Heel mooi en groen, volwassen grote bomen en een goede grasmat.
De camping noemt zich 'eco' en dat is het vergeleken met eerder ook zeker geworden, dat merk aan alle dagelijkse dingen.
Gedateerd schoon sanitair maar daar wordt hard aan gewerkt!
Een aanrader,..... alleen al door de de sympathieke eigenare!
Disliked - Het gedateerde sanitairgebouw, maar daar wordt deze winter -inclusief het Romaanse dak- hard aan gewerkt.

Christoff en Christelle doen er álles aan goede gastheren te zijn, en dat lukt ze goed.
Tot ziens op Moulin de Chaules! ??
