Camping Moulin de Chaules is a pleasant campsite situated in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Auvergne. Christelle, half of the friendly couple that owns the campsite, runs the restaurant and makes delicious homemade pizzas. Building dams in the river, taking part in the activities and sitting around the campfire together: get ready for a varied holiday!

Cosy and small-scale campsite

The small-scale and friendly campsite breathes tranquillity. Behind the flat area are terraces, which accommodate a total of around forty touring pitches and eleven rental accommodations. The pitches on the terraces are naturally laid out and have no clear demarcation. The pitches on the flat terrain, on the other hand, are delimited by hedges. Some pitches are idyllically situated by the river.

For small campers

Camping Moulin de Chaules focuses specifically on families with smaller children. With a swimming pool, nicely sheltered between the main building and the owners' house, a playground and various activities, small campers will have the holiday of a lifetime here.

In high season, something is organised every day of the week: baking bread together (and eating it by the campfire), treasure hunts and games. Young and old can join all activities, but the focus is on children.

Queen of the kitchen: Christelle

The old stone main building houses a cosy restaurant, where owner Christelle herself stands behind the stove and conjures up the tastiest pizzas from the oven. Here, too, the youngest guests are taken into account. In addition to various pizzas, fries with a snack are also on the menu. You can also take a seat at one of the bistro style tables on the shady pavement café.

Travelling party: Seniors

Camping met alles wat je als kampeerder kunt wensen: prachtige ligging, rust, lieflijk aan de Ressegebeek, schitterende natuur, heel aardige eigenaren, ruime plaatsen. Een plaats om écht te ontspannen, prikkelbare zonder saai te zijn, en waar je eigenlijk gewoon wilt blijven.....of zsm terug komen!

Liked - Een kleine camping met leuke voorzieningen voor kleine kinderen. Een ruim chalet wat nog vrij nieuw was. En een prettig bed! Heel vriendelijke eigenaren ook.

Liked - Leuke, kleine(re) camping met terrassen, voldoende plek voor iedereen, goede faciliteiten, vriendelijk personeel. Vroeger als kind ook naartoe geweest en bijna alles doet nog hetzelfde aan (in positieve zin), de gemoedelijkheid, de vriendelijkheid, het broodjes bakken, etc.
Disliked - Doordat aan de rivier ook staanplaatsen zijn kun je daar eigenlijk bijna niet komen zonder dwars door iemands spullen te gaan. Ik snap dat het fijn is om voldoende plaatsen te kunnen aanbieden maar 1 of 2 vrije doorgangen zouden ook fijn kunnen zijn.

Liked - Heel lekkere ´menu du´ jour en pizza´s. Veel info beschikbaar aan de receptie. Autoluwe camping en leuke beek.
Disliked - Niet van toepassing. Standplaatsen mogen voor ons nog iets verder uit elkaar.

Liked - Leuke kleine camping met veel faciliteiten, en zelfs een restaurantje. Verder leuke activiteiten, leuk beekje en leuke inrichting van de camping.
Disliked - Dat er maar één kind per keer op de trampoline mocht. Dat maakt het minder fun.

Liked - De eigenaren van de camping zijn erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk en doen hun uiterste best de gasten een onbezorgde vakantie te bezorgen. Het is een kleine maar mooi aangelegde terrascamping. Met name de plaatsen beneden aan de rivier zijn er mooi. Het is een vrij rustige niet zo toeristische omgeving maar de campingeigenaren weten voor iedereen voldoende activiteiten aan te bevelen en helpen graag indien nodig deze activiteiten te reserveren.
Disliked - Op de camping heb je geen mobiel bereik dat is wel even wennen en lang niet altijd handig. Rondom de receptie is er wel Wifi maar niet altijd even stabiel. Voor de kinderen in de basisschool leeftijd is er op het terrein niet echt een speltuin. Er is een speeltoestel voor kleinere kinderen maar niet voor wat oudere kinderen. Het riviertje biedt wel het nodige vertier maar daarnaast nog een aparte plek met wat speeltoestellen zou wel een aanwinst zijn.

Liked - Genoten van twee weken in Safaritent, enorme luxe zo met eigen sanitair! De camping was weer gezellig en knus met leuke activiteiten voor de kinderen. Het restaurant en terras is erg gezellig en leuk voor een hapje of drankje.
Disliked - Sanitair in hoofdgebouw behoeft wel een update en ook waren er minder activiteiten voor kinderen georganiseerd als aantal jaren terug toen we er waren. Maar desalniettemin genoeg vermaak voor de kinderen!
