Very friendly and helpful owner new toilet blocks that were very clean and tidy hand stop to vist orleans supermarkets close by a handy stop on way to spain
Lovely location close to town and the river, easy location to find.
wifi is a bit of a problem, very erratic.
Hint, be aware that eating put can be a problem on Mondays in most small towns in France.
Great overnight stop, super statue of joan of arc near the river.
Very helpful staff. Let us keep our car at the campsite whilst we cycled the Loire Valley. Let us borrow a table and chairs as we were bike packing. Sold cold beer and wine from reception.
Used this site as an overnight stop on journey south. What was striking was an impressive and very new looking sanitary block and the cleanliness was fine. Pleasant walk or bike ride along the banks of the Loire into the town where it so happened a fete was underway. Good access. Slight insect problem due to trees and proximity to Loire.
The managers were pleasant and helpful (though he did forget to give us our code for the barrier when we arrived !). There are three blocks of facilities, we were nearest the new one but sometimes used one of the others because there are not enough. Footpath and cycle track up and down the Loire. The town of Jargeau is very close, and is excellent for shopping etc. Very good, we would have stayed for longer if the weather had been better !
A pleasant site by the Loire, welcome was casual but friendly, very smart new sanitary block but the design isn't the best, lacks a few essentials such as mirrors... or indeed a washbasin that's not inside a cubicle. No real complaints though, a good overnight stop.
Campsite by the Loire river not that you could see it because of tall trees. Entrance a little difficult to find. Level grassy pitches that was quite overgrown. Generally looked like it could do with some TLC.
Newish toilet bLock but showers were only warm. Ladies only had 2 showers but had 7 toilets, seemed a bit of a mistake when block was designed. Only one mirror but with no shelf or hairdryer plugs. Wifi free around reception but didn’t work some of the evenings we were there.Suoer U express within walking distance just over the river.
We were disappointed with this site. Despite advertising that English was spoken by staff at the site the man on reception would only speak to us and the children in French, which resulted in him telling the children off when they tried to buy ice creams! We were told we could camp anywhere and there were a lot of lovely spacious pitches to choose from. The sanitary facilities were very clean and tidy in the new block and the older block was also ok. The park advertised did not seem to be part of the campsite and was situated just outside the fence. Unfortunately as we went to leave, the site tried to charge us for electricity which we had not asked for or used. After some discussion this was removed from our bill but left us feeling uncomfortable!
Site by Loire river not that you could see it from pitches because of the trees and hedges. Pitches all grass but overgrown. Site looks like it needed some tlc. Toilet block newish but showers only warm. Super U within walking distance just over the river. Entrance seemed a little difficult to find. Wifi free at reception but was off for hours on some days whilst we were there.
We were a bit disappointed in this campsite. The description in the ACSI book says it is alongside the Loire - true, but you can\'t see it or get to it directly. I wouldn\'t call our reception friendly. Information was given as a result of an enquiry but none offered. The shower block looks new but otherwise the site looks a bit run down. It\'s only a 2* site so maybe I shouldn\'t have expected a lot. Good location for cyclists. Nearest shop is about 1 km away. Croissants and bread not available for ordering every day.
