Flower Camping L'Abri-Cotier is located to the west of the port of Rochefort, one and a half kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean. Here you can camp in peace and quiet close to the varied French west coast. Here you can visit the famous Fort Boyard, but also Île Madame, an island that can only be reached at low tide.

Via Rochefort you drive along a two-lane road between fields towards the Atlantic coast. With an entrance full of flowers and trees - even palm trees greet you as you enter the grounds - camping L'Abri-Cotier lives up to its name. Here you can camp in the shade of full trees. Hedges ensure that you camp with a lot of privacy.

Indoor swimming pool

The indoor swimming pool on the side of the campsite is ideal for lazy swimmers and for children who want to play in the water. For toddlers there is a paddling pool next to the large rectangular pool. There is a playground with a trampoline, swings and a climbing frame.

Fort Boyard and more

Rochefort is definitely worth a visit. The coastline is also interesting here. The port area is interspersed with small sandy beaches and nature reserves where water birds feel at home. Bird watchers can have a great time here. From the tip of the peninsula on the Charente River, a road leads to Île Madame, a small island in the Atlantic Ocean. This island can only be reached at low tide, via the Passe aux Bœufs, the 'cow corridor'. A little further out to sea is Fort Boyard.

Liked - Camping plutôt calme et reposant, nous avons ete très bien accueillis, mobilhome correct, bouteille de rosé offerte à l arrivée. Nous vous recommandons les pizzas excellentes.
Les enfants peuvent s amuser et faire du velo camping familial.
Nous sommes globalement satisfaits de notre séjour équipe super, services supers. Bonne ambiance.
Disliked - Le gros point négatif est le respect des règles a la piscine adolescents qui monopolisent le bassin donc impossible de nager plus propreté de l eau aucune surveillance du château gonflable et surtout des parents.

Liked - Le camping ne propose pas d'annimation pour les ados, Mise à part le spectacle de Nell rien de sensationnel

Disliked - Les activités y sont quasi inexistentes. un animateur enfant.
Piscine trouble au milieu du séjour..

Disliked - Hormis la douche du mobile home qui passait du bouillant au gelé en quelques secondes et le non changement d’activité d’1 semaine à l’autre

Liked - La situation du camping l'Abri côtier est idéale, très proche de Rochefort et à 3/4 h de route de la Rochelle, de l'île de Ré, de l'île d'Oléron sans oublier l'île d'Aix. Le camping est très agréable grâce aux nombreux arbres présents. Les emplacements sont placés de façon à ce que toutes les infrastructures soient proches.
Le camping est très propre et l'équipe super sympa. Nous y retournerons.
Disliked - Un seul inconvénient à mes yeux : la largeur des chemins d'accès assez étroits qui rendent le stationnement un peu complexe.

Liked - Séjour agréable dans ce camping à taille humaine et dans un cadre naturel personnel accueillant (cadeau de bienvenue et bouteille d eau fraîche pour affronter les bouchons du retour sous plus de 30 degrés) et souriant
Les + animaux acceptés et piscine couverte
Disliked - animation attention toutefois à la sono le soir un peu trop forte pour les emplacements les plus proches.
Le - pensez à mettre plus de lumière dans le camping pour le soir

Liked - Camping agréable, personnel accueillant, nombreux services (billetterie, laverie, locations vélos...) Nous avons séjourné pendant le mois d'août animations tous les soirs.
camping propre, bungalow confortable.
Disliked - Petit bémol sur la piscine, un peu petite par rapport au nombre de campeurs, les enfants voir certains adultes aussi ne font que sauter, bouées autorisées, bien faire attention si on veut nager.

Liked - Des animations le soir surtout mais cela nous convener car nous bougions en journée . L'equipe est très simpas. Le plus : la restauration sur place hummm.
Mon petit garçon de 3 ans et demi s'est bien amusé aux jeux gonflables et l'air de jeu. Camping bien situé pour aller à la Rochelle, la palmyre, Royan. Il y a un peu de route mais c'est l'avantage car si nous avions était au camping soit à la Rochelle ou royan on n'aurait pas voir autant de chose. C'est mon avis. Un petit clin d'oeil au pirate du camping qui restera en mémoire pour sa bonne humeur. A conseiller
