7.1

Travelling party: Couple

Good flat pitch and plenty of space. Expensive if you have more than one dog but otherwise not too bad. Odd setup with a number of seemingly permanent residents with very ramshackle homes that didn\'t add much to the ambience. Only one facility block near one end so if you\'re at the far end it\'s a long walk. We picked the site because it seemed close to Heidelburg but there was no easy walk into town and for that reason we would pic a site further out in a quieter spot as there was a fair bit of road noise. It was close to the river though and fun listening to the party boats on a Friday night.

We camped here as it seemed close to the town but were a little disappointed that there was no walk along the river and had to drive anyway. A bike would have been OK but not with dogs as in our case and still it would have been along a main road. If we went back then we would look a little further outside town. The site was quite nice but oddly there were five pitches seemingly occupied on a permanent basis with very shabby encampments that you might expect to see on a migrant camp. The chap occupying the one next to us was very friendly but it\'s still not what you expect to see. It was generally and OK site but for us with four small dogs it was a shock to find it the most expensive site we have ever used as we were charged a night for the dogs. We would not go back again.

Nice pitches for tents and caravans. Though not particularly smooth for tents. Wifi is fantastic and free but only in a very small area. Shop with beer closes at 20:00.

Travelling party: Couple

This site has a very steep drive down and a very sharp turn from Neckargemund direction. The grassy site was nice and you could see the river although there were a lot of trees. We walked 700m from the site down the hill and across the weir to get to the bus stop which went every 20 mins into Heidelberg which was pretty convenient. The electricity points were quite spread out so you might need a long cable.

Great site in a great location. It's a shame the restaurant is no longer there to make it perfect. The river is lovely. The site close enough to make Heidelberg walkable.

Charge 75 cents for shower and an extra charge for electricity used (they are on individual meters). Nice pitches alongside the river. Friendly Dutch owner and part cycle track into Heidelburg. Small village in easy walking distance. Lidl on other side of the river.

Travelling party: Couple

Set on the outskirts of Heidelburg, which has a lovely ''spar '' type feel to it with nice shops. Site ok, undefined pitches, fairly well kept. About 1/2 mile to bridge over weir which you cross over and catch regular bus into town from there.
Limited parking in town, so best get local transport if possible. Seemed quite busy on site. No hardstandings for motorhomes. Some road noise from vehicles going up the hill past site
