In 2024, the rules for winter tires in Germany are set to change. Starting from October 2024, winter tires featuring the Alpine symbol will be mandatory. Until September, the Transitional arrangement allows the use of winter tires or all-season tires marked with M+S. However, after this period, there is a risk of receiving a fine if you do not have winter tires with the Alpine symbol in wintry conditions.
